'She Plays Hockey' was born in at a post game chat at a rink in Toronto back in 2004.

 I had been playing hockey for years with very little choice of fun apparel to 'flex' the sport I loved.  I had been in a few tournaments and always searched the vendors inventory for something that was suited for a female hockey player.  I hit my rock bottom when I purchased an oversized t-shirt that said 'YOU DON'T NEED 'BALLS' TO PLAY THIS GAME' Lol

I had 2 boys that played hockey and a 2 year old girl that by right of passage would most certainly be a hockey player, and I decided she would definitely need something to wear that doesn't refer to 'balls' :)
